TEN Development Plan Approved by Government of Ghana
Sabre Oil and Gas Holdings Ltd (BVI), a wholly owned subsidiary of PetroSA, has 3.83% equity in the Deepwater Tano Block (DWT), offshore Ghana.
The Operator of the DWT Block, Tullow Oil, announced that the Government of Ghana has approved the Development Plan for the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme Fields (TEN). This is an important project that will give Ghana its second major offshore development after Jubilee. This project will also develop Ghana’s gas reserves and gas infrastructure thereby providing much needed power generation in the country.
The TEN Project is located in the Deepwater Tano Contract Area, 60 kilometres off the coast of Ghana and approximately 30 kilometres west of the Tullow Operated Jubilee Field. The TEN Project is expected to deliver first oil in 2016, with a plateau production rate of 80,000 bopd. Development of the TEN Project will require the drilling and completion of up to 24 development wells which will be connected through subsea infrastructure to a Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO), moored in 1,500 metres of water.
The TEN Development will add approximately 1200bopd to PetroSA Sabre’s daily oil production.
