'Azeri Light' crude oil sold to 33 countries
SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) exports ‘Azeri Light’ crude oil to 33 countries, the head of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev said on Wednesday during the conference ‘Caspian Oil and Gas 2013’.
According to him, SOCAR has representative offices in many countries for the purposes of exploration of new markets and development of their own business.
SOCAR is also actively involved in the energy markets of several countries. In particular the company is conducting major operations in Georgia. It has 110 gas stations covering 50 per cent of the market of oil products in Georgia.
Abdullayev also said that SOCAR is involved in retail sales of petroleum products in Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
