Board Appoints New Chief Executive Officer at ENGIE
The Board of Directors has decided to appoint Catherine MacGregor Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE. Catherine MacGregor’s vision of the transformation and development of the Group, her industrial and international experience as well as her leadership and recognized managerial qualities will fully contribute to the implementation of the strategic orientations presented at the end of July.
This decision, which will take effect on January 1, 2021, comes at the end of a selection process led by Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, Françoise Malrieu and the members of the Appointments, Remuneration and Governance Committee, responding to the better governance standards. In addition, his appointment as a director of the Group will be proposed to the General Meeting in 2021.
Catherine MacGregor said: “I thank the Board of Directors for the confidence it has placed in me. This trust honors me and commits me. On the strength of our common industry culture and my operational experience, I will be keen, along with all the teams, to meet the major challenges that await us to enable ENGIE to accelerate the energy transition ”.
