CNPC President pays a visit to Myanmar’s President U Thein Sein
CNPC President Liao Yongyuan paid a visit to President of Myanmar, Thein Sein, in the capital city of Naypyidaw. They had an in-depth and friendly discussion on promoting CNPC’s oil and gas projects in Myanmar as well as deepening the traditional friendship between the people of the two countries. President Thein Sein spoke highly of the Myanmar-China Oil and Gas Pipelines as a major project beneficial to both sides, and expressed his wish for CNPC to expand cooperation efforts in the country. He also said that the government of Myanmar will support for the pipeline construction and operation.
Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Yang Houlan and CNPC Vice-Chief Economist Wang Lihua were present at the meeting.
