ConocoPhillips will axe 10% of its global workforce
ConocoPhillips, which has already cut 1,000 jobs this year, reportedly stated that it will eliminate around 1,810 more positions following the recent oil price plunge.
The company said it is eliminating 10 percent of its workforce. The biggest proportion of the job cuts will be in North America. According to Reuters, the company’s Canadian business will lay off 400 employees and 100 contractors, or about 15% of its workforce in that country, by the middle of next month.
