Funeral rites for late Dr. Levi Ajuonuma, was the former Group GM, Public Affairs Division of the NNPC

Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, and NNPC Group Managing Director, Mr. Andrew Yakubu, were among scores of eminent Nigerians who extolled the late spokesman of the corporation at a service of songs for him, which held Thursday at the Harbor Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Eulogising Ajuonuma in a special song at the event attended by dignitaries, friends and associates of the deceased, the minister, who was accompanied by her husband, Rear Admiral Alison Madueke (rtd), described the deceased as a consummate professional who gave his best to not only the oil and gas industry, but the nation as a whole.
She said Ajuonuma spoke so well for the oil and gas industry both in Nigeria and at the global scene.
Yakubu eulogised the late Ajuonuma, saying although he spent only 10 years in the employment of the corporation, he made so much impact which most staff that had put in as much as 30 years have not made.
Dr. Levi Ajuonuma, was the former Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), who was killed in the June 3 Dana Air plane crash in Lagos.
The body of the late Ajuonuma will be interred today in his native Imo State.
