Hadrian South development

Petrobras announces that on Saturday, March 28, 2015, production began at the Hadrian South Field, in the Keathley Canyon area, located about 230 miles off the coast of Louisiana in water depths of approximately 2,332 meters.

Petrobras owns a 23.33% interest in Hadrian South field. ExxonMobil, the operator, has a 46.67% interest and Eni holds a 30% interest.

The Hadrian South development consists of two subsea natural gas wells and a 12-kilometers long subsea tieback to the Lucius field floating production unit. The Lucius platform capacity reserved for Hadrian South is 8.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (50 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day).

A leader in ultra-deepwater operations, Petrobras adds another production asset to its portfolio. Hadrian South is its fifth ultra-deepwater field in production in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, following Lucius, which began producing in the beginning of January of this year.
