Iran, Germany sign agreement on developing oil fields
The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Managing Director Rokeddin Javadi and his counterpart from Wintershall of Germany signed the agreement.
According to officials at Iran’s petroleum ministry, German companies are to invest some dlrs 12 billion in Assaluyeh petrochemical plants.
Wintershall, a company from BASF Holding, which specialises in upstream industry and extraction of oil and gas will also broaden cooperation in other areas including training, research and development with the Iranian party.
Based on the agreement, the required information will be exchanged between the two companies next month.
