Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist pre-conference on gas development
Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE) will hold its pre-conference workshop for 2012 during which it will examine some issues of industry concern.
The workshop is scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday 9th October, 2012.
The Special Guest of Honour at the workshop will be Engr. Andy Yakubu, the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Co rporation (NNPC) while the Chairman/Moderator will be Dr. Ebi Omatsola, a fellow of NAPE and the Group Managing Director of Conoil Producing Limited.
Three lead papers, which will be presented, include international development in the gas arena: implication for the commercialisation of Nigeria’s gas resources to be delivered by Engr. Chima Ibeneche, President, Nigerian Gas Association.
Utilisation of Nigeria’s gas resources: perspective of the journey so Far to be delivered by Mr. Ubaka Emelumadu, Vice President Gas; Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited. Defining an effective gas commercialisation policy for Nigeria to be presented by Mr. Osten Olorunshola, The Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources.
There will also be a three-member panel of discussants to provide insightful comments and present their views on the subject matter. Members of this panel are: Mr. Bolaji Osunsanya, Managing Director, Oando Gas and Power, Mr. Babatope Olaleye, General Manager, Geosciences, Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) and Prof. C. M. Ekweozor, Chief Executive Officer of Getamme Group of Companies who would specifically be handling the issue of shale gas.
