Pemex evacuates workers due to fire on Mexico's offshore oil platform
Pemex has evacuated workers from offshore oil platform Zaap-E in the Bay of Campeche after a fire in a machine room, caused by a short-circuit from one of the aggregates.
A fire onboard an offshore oil platform has sparked a full evacuation of 97 oil workers according to its operators, Mexico’s Pemex.
The news was announced Monday 25th January by the Mexican state run firm, with them stating “no injuries were reported in the fire at the Zaap E platform,”
The company also said that the incident will not affect production.
