Ukraine reportedly raised 8.1 billion hryvnia ($277 million) in a sale of war bonds, its latest fundraising effort to tap into the global support for the country in its fight against Russia’s invasion.

Russian troops have made “little progress” in their invasion of Ukraine whilst sustaining heavy military losses and receiving international condemnation, according to intelligence from the British Ministry of Defence (MoD). As fighting enters its sixth day, the Ukrainian Armed forces announced that Ukraine had claimed the lives of 5,710 Russian troops, and destroyed 198 Russian tanks, 29 aircraft, 846 armoured vehicles and 29 helicopters.
