Scottish Power to cut gas prices by 4.8%
Scottish Power announced a price cut to reduce prices by 4.8% from 20 February.
This follows a trend by other major gas suppliers such as the UK’s largest supplier, British Gas, which announced it was to cut prices by 5% from 27 February.
E.On was the first to reduce its tariffs, by 3.5% – a cut that has already taken effect.
“We are pleased to be able to pass on this price reduction to our customers,” said Neil Clitheroe, Scottish Power’s CEO of Retail and Generation.
