Sinopec subsidiary awarded approximately US$1.329bil. Malaysia refinery contract
Sinopec Engineering Group, a subsidiary of China’s biggest refiner Sinopec, has been awarded a refinery contract worth 1.33 billion U.S. dollars by Malaysian oil firm Petronas, Sinopec announced on Tuesday.
The contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of an oil refining and petrochemical integrated plant in Pengerang in the state of Johor.
The core parts of the project include a 15-million tonnes/year crude oil atmospheric distillation unit and an 8.8-million tonnes/year residue hydrotreating unit.
