Technip to Install Pipeline Offshore Ghana

Technip has won a contract for phase I of the Natural Gas Transportation and Processing project, 60km offshore Ghana, by Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC).

Under the contract Technip will carry out the engineering, welding and installation of a 14km rigid steel flowline.

The contract also includes the engineering, fabrication and installation of a pipeline end termination and a subsea structure to connect a rigid flowline and flexible riser.

The flowline will comprise the deepwater section of a pipeline used to pipe natural gas from the Jubilee field to the future onshore processing plant.

The flowline will be welded at Technip’s spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama, US, with installation to begin at the end of 2010.
