US-Russia deal over Syria weapons reduce oil prices

OPEC daily basket price stood at $109.04 a barrel Monday, 16 September 2013
The price of OPEC basket of twelve crudes stood at 109.04 dollars a barrel on Monday, compared with $109.87 the previous day, according to OPEC Secretariat calculations.
Oil prices decreased as Syria escaped the threat of imminent military action from the US, following a deal with Russia to remove Damascus’s chemical weapons.
Brent crude fell by $1.15 to $110.55, its lowest level since 23 August 2013, while US oil dropped by $1.04 to $107.17, reported Reuters.
