CNPC enters into a set of agreements during CICA summit in Shanghai
On May 19 and 20, during the fourth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Shanghai, under the witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin signed an LNG purchases and sales contract on the Yamal Project with NOVATEK, and a work schedule on the commissioning and crude supply of the Tianjin JV Refinery with Rosneft, respectively.
Also, in the presence of President Xi and and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev, Mr. Wang Dongjin signed an agreement with KazMunaiGas on the pipeline transportation cost of crude through Kazakhstan-China Crude Oil Pipeline and transportation income distribution, and a framework agreement on building a large diameter steel pipe plant in Kazakhstan.
Additionally, witnessed by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rakhmon, Mr. Wang Dongjin signed an agreement on establishing a management committee for the Tajikistan section of Line D of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, with Aslov Sirodjidin Muhridinovich, Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During his stay in Shanghai, Mr. Wang had a discussion with Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee Alexey Miller on promoting cooperation in natural gas projects. An MOU was signed on designing and construction of a state-run dancing school for Kazakhstan with Muhamediuly Arystanbek, the Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan. He also exchanged views with KazMunaiGas Chairman Sauat Mynbayev on building the steel pipe plant and crude export to China. In addition, Mr. Wang had a talk with Osmonbek Artykbaev, Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrghyzstan, and the two signed an MOU on establishing a coordination committee for gas pipeline construction and operation.
