Dow Jones Sustainability Indices
Neste has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the 13th consecutive year. The company was included in the DJSI World and DJSI Europe, once again, among the most sustainable companies in the world.
Neste’s performance received the industry’s best scores in materiality, human capital development, and water-related risks, contributing to the company’s inclusion among the top performers.
“We are proud to be included on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. It amplifies our long-term actions combating climate change and our persistent work to help our customers reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Continuous inclusion on the list for 13 consecutive years verifies that we have been able to improve our own performance also in other areas. As we are committed to continue to improve, we are working towards reducing our own and our customers’ carbon footprint even further,”
says Neste’s Simo Honkanen, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Public Affairs, Communication, Corporate Brand.
Companies are selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices based on a comprehensive assessment of long-term performance indicators measured by economic, environmental, and social criteria, as well as against sustainability trends. The assessment of companies this year is based on their performance in 2018. Only leading companies in each industry are included in the indices each year.
