Framework agreement between Repsol and the Paideia Galiza Foundation
The Chairman of Repsol and its Foundation, Antonio Brufau and the President of the Paideia Galiza Foundation, Sandra Ortega, have signed a framework agreement to intensify their work together and to open a new space for cooperation in the inclusion in society of disabled people. The agreement was signed at Campus Repsol, the company’s Madrid headquarters.
With this agreement, Repsol and Foundation Paideia Galiza reinforce their joint efforts and open up a new framework for cooperation to promote employment of people with disabilities, improve the accessibility of goods and services, and promote awareness and education among the general public.
The planned lines of action include hiring people with disabilities for Repsol’s service station network. Also, the service company Trebore, which employs people in this community, will be contracted to design graphic materials and promotional gifts, and for work at Repsol’s Industrial Complex in A Coruña, such as the maintenance of gardens and indoor plants and building work to improve the facilities.
This agreement incorporates others signed since 2013 by Repsol and Paideia Galiza for training courses for people with disabilities and grants for internships, as well as the agreement between Repsol Foundation and Paideia Galiza on mobility and transport grants for training and skill acquisition activities.
The two entities will also create a joint committee to monitor their shared projects, consisting of two representatives from Repsol, two from Repsol Foundation and two from Paideia Galiza Foundation.
Repsol employs nearly 600 disabled people, which represents 3.12% of the total workforce. The company has received numerous awards for its work in this area, such as the Queen Sofia Award and the Justice and Disability Forum Award.
