Kent granted $17.5 million dollar award by the U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy has granted us a $17,500,000 award to advance floating offshore wind turbine technologies.

Through the SCALEUP programme, the US is developing American-made modern technologies to strengthen global competitiveness, create more clean energy jobs, and dramatically cut greenhouse gas emissions.

This funding will focus on lowering fabrication costs, reducing design loads, and making lighter, more efficient and cost-effective integrated units. And the investment in R&D will result in significantly lowering the levelised cost of electricity and ultimately make profitable floating offshore wind farms.
