Neste Jacobs to Implement production optimization expansion with NAPCON Controller
Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs and dairy company Valio have signed a continuation agreement for whey powder production optimization including expansion to milk powder production for Valio Lapinlahti factory in Finland. The purpose of this expansion is to increase product selection and add equipment to the existing optimization application.
The expansion of production optimization will be done with APC (Advanced Process Control) technology. This agreement is a continuation for the successful implementation of several NAPCON solutions for dairy industry.
Expansion will be done to the Neste Jacobs’ NAPCON Controller solution, which was originally installed to Lapinlahti factory in 2013. It is expected that the expansion of production optimization will significantly increase the production throughput of new products throughout the entire process. Production increase can be achieved without large investments or interruptions in production. In addition, production energy efficiency improves making the investment into NAPCON Controller very profitable.
“Co-operation with a reputable company such as Valio is very rewarding to us and the fact that this is already third NAPCON delivery to Valio is a sign of strong mutual trust”, says Jarmo Suominen, CEO of Neste Jacobs.
“Our mission is to be the primary choice in process optimization with the help of NAPCON Controller (APC) top level functionality application. This agreement signed with Valio supports perfectly our mission.”
“Neste Jacobs delivered NAPCON Controller solution for milk powder production line in our Seinäjoki factory. Our production increased instantly with 10% with improved energy efficiency after installation”, says Antero Ylitalo, Production Manager for Valio. “We have achieved constantly good results with Neste Jacobs and co-operation with them has always worked very well”.
