Petrobras production of oil and natural gas in July totaled 2.55 million barrels of oil equivalent per day
Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras announces its oil and natural gas production in July, 2012.
Petrobras average production of oil and natural gas in July, in Brazil and overseas, totaled 2,554,263 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed). The output from fields located in Brazil was 2,314,871 boed. Total production has decreased 1.12% relative to the previous month. Overseas production reached 239,392 boed, which corresponds to a 2.13% reduction from June.
Of the total output in Brazil, 1,940,409 barrels per day consisted exclusively of oil. The scheduled maintenance shutdown of P-8 platform located in Marimbá field in Campos Basin was one of the reasons for the 1% reduction in production. Non-liquefied natural gas output was 59 million 535 thousand cubic meters, which represents a 1.2% reduction.
Petrobras international average production of oil in July was 147,014 barrels per day, which corresponds to a 1.06% decrease when compared to the previous month. Natural gas production reached a total of 15 million 695 thousand cubic meters per day, a 3.94% decrease relative to June. This reduction occurred due to lower demand of Bolivian gas, a gas compressor shutdown in Santa Cruz I and reduction in the El Tordillo field production, both in Argentina.
