Shell And YanChang Petroleum Launch A Retail Joint Venture In Guangdong
Shell and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Corp. Ltd. (YCPC) announce today that they have launched a Retail joint venture in Guangdong province, in a bid to increase Shell’s retail footprint in Guangdong and deepen their existing partnership.
Shen Hao, Chairman of YCPC, said: “It is a milestone for our retail network as we are happy to expand our Retail business with Shell together across the country. This is our third retail joint venture with Shell and we look forward to deeper and more extensive cooperation with Shell.”
Currently, Shell is operating some 1,100 gas stations through joint ventures in China, including some 30 gas stations in Guangdong.
Shell and YCPC jointly operate more than 400 retail sites through JVs in Shaanxi, Shanxi and Sichuan provinces.
