TKAEFER sponsors Corrosion Under Insulation Forum to be held in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
KAEFER, Gold Sponsor at the Corrosion Under Insulation Forum, will speak on preventing CUI from a contractor’s perspective
KAEFER is sponsoring Corrosion Under Insulation, a technical forum gathering global corrosion experts under one roof to look at the new technological breakthroughs in Corrosion Under Insulation – CUI. Taking place at the Sofitel Al Khobar the Corniche, in Saudi Arabia on 7 – 8 September 2014, the forum will aim to bridge the gap between must-haves and the current situation of CUI challenges in companies that are affected by it. The program will include technical workshops, case studies, exhibition and interactive discussions aimed to enhance the skill sets and technical know-how of corrosion professionals.
KAEFER, Gold Sponsor at the forum, specializes in industrial insulation, protective coatings and linings and has a vast presence in Middle East. Thomas Rehberg, Head of Department – Surface Protection, Corporate Technology & Research at KAEFER will present at the forum on preventing CUI from a contractor’s perspective. Focusing on novel approaches in insulation design and systems, he will focus on the demand for insulating solutions to increase energy efficiency. A certified NACE Coating Inspector Level 1, Rehberg has a vast experience having worked with organizations like Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH and Denso.
Saudi Aramco, ADGAS, Qatar Petroleum, American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (Saudi Arabia Section), Belzona Polymerics Ltd, MiCorr Inc and SW Materials And Corrosion Ltd will also be speaking at the forum. The forum will focus on topics like ensuring successful plant design to subdue CUI, CUI management through NDT techniques, CUI detection/monitoring techniques for cross country oil and gas underground pipeline networks, development of a CUI inspection and maintenance philosophy for the LNG industry, CUI management in NGL fractionation plants and solving CUI problems using proven advanced epoxy coatings. Day two of the forum will have three workshops on design plan for CUI mitigation, CUI risk screening for equipment & piping and innovative measures to prevent CUI.
The forum is endorsed by The Institute of Materials Finishing – IMF. Originally founded in 1925, IMF deals with all technologies of surface finishing on a wide variety of materials. The forum will serve as an excellent opportunity for delegates to share insights with their peers and also learn from their experiences aiding in making the current practices in play more effective.
