TotalEnergies and CGT wage negotiations, subject to the lifting of blockages

In response to accusations of “blackmail” by the CGT, the only union to continue the blockades in France, TotalEnergies recalls its constructive and open state of mind in its approach to future wage negotiations. Since May 2022, TotalEnergies has continued to affirm its desire to achieve fair compensation for the employees concerned.

Indeed, these negotiations must make it possible to define how these employees will be able to benefit, before the end of the year, from the exceptional results generated by TotalEnergies, while also taking into account inflation for the year 2022. As a reminder, the employees benefited in 2022 from an average increase of +3.5% in return for the results of the year 2021 (for which inflation was 2.8%).

As demonstrated by the average remuneration levels of TotalEnergies refining operators in France (€5,000 gross per month, including profit-sharing), TotalEnergies wants employees to be given priority in the sharing of value and thus receive the fair reward for their efforts on their pay slip before the end of the year.

Given its engaging and positive position stated prior to the discussions, the management of TotalEnergies considers that there is therefore no reason to maintain blockages and that it is time to leave room for institutional negotiation in a peaceful climate. , as is the custom in the Company.
