WFW strengthens Asia Projects with new partner hire

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that energy-focussed corporate expert Kunal Kapoor has joined the firm as a Partner in Singapore. He joins from Dentons in Singapore where he was a Partner and co-headed their international energy and infrastructure practice for the wider ASEAN region.

Kunal’s expertise spans both conventional and renewable energy, LNG, oil and gas, and transport infrastructure projects. Most recently he has focussed on renewables, upstream M&A, LNG projects, and energy transition, notably data centres , battery storage projects, carbon credits trading, tokenisation and emission reduction programs, and advisory work on potential hydrogen and carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects and financing. His clients include oil majors, project developers, trading houses, funds, strategic and equity investors, host governments, and sponsors in the energy sector.

Kunal is highly regarded in his field of expertise in the Asia Pacific region by leading legal directories, Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000, with Chambers recently noting that he “is talented, insightful and very clever, and fully understands what the client needs”.
