With the Launch of Energyhires, Landing a Job in Southeast Asia’s Oil and Gas Industry Just Got Easier
For a long time, oil and gas professionals seeking work in Southeast Asia’s energy industry have lamented the lack of an online resource aimed specifically at addressing their career needs within the region.
With the launch of job board Energyhires on 13 October 2014, Southeast Asia’s engineers, project managers, technicians and other energy sector professionals finally have the solution to their job-hunting woes. And to companies in the burgeoning oil and gas sector in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, finding and hiring top talent is going to get a lot easier.
Founded by a team of former oil and gas recruiters, Energyhires was built from the ground up with ease of use and speed in mind. Being the only professional job portal dedicated specifically to the ASEAN market, the website also aims to address the burgeoning demand for local talent within the region.
According to Victor Sim, one of Energyhires’ co-founders, many companies have traditionally turned to headhunters to fulfill their recruiting needs, while candidates have had to knock on the doors of recruitment agencies or do all the grunt work on their own. “Energyhires has the potential to make recruitment in the region much faster and more efficient,” he says. The company is pushing hard to reach out to big players in the oil and gas industry.
If all goes according to plan, Energyhires looks set to corner the market and become Southeast Asia’s go-to resource for oil and gas positions.
