25 Sep Q ENERGY inaugurates a solar farm in France
(Oilandgaspress) 25/09/26, – On 24 September 2026, Q ENERGY inaugurated the Chênet solar farm, located in the French municipalities of Sapignicourt and Hauteville in the Marne department. Built on a former sand and gravel quarry, the 11 MWp solar farm now generates enough locally produced renewable electricity to meet the annual needs of more than 4,800 people.
The Chênet solar farm forms part of the redevelopment of a former sand and gravel extraction site that operated between 1992 and 2009. Built on previously developed land, the solar farm now puts nearly eight hectares of the site to productive use by generating local renewable energy for the benefit of the surrounding area.
