30 Jun TotalEnergies is maintaining a price cap on petrol and diesel at its 1200 rural stations
London, (Oilandgaspress) – As the summer holidays approach, TotalEnergies will maintain a price cap of €1.99/L on gasoline and diesel at its 1,200 service stations located in rural areas during July and August. This measure will also apply to all of the Company’s motorway service stations during peak travel weekends*.
A price cap to protect customers in rural areas
In rural areas, where motorists are particularly reliant on their vehicles for daily commutes, lower fuel prices generally take longer to be passed on. This is because these service stations have built up their stocks at higher price levels, and given lower consumption, the drop in prices takes longer to be reflected in fuel retail prices.
In this context, the Company is putting in place a price cap of €1.99/L on petrol and diesel in its 1,200 rural stations in France, for the months of July and August.
Price caps at motorway service stations for peak travel weekends
To support the French during their summer holiday departures, the Company is also extending the cap of €1.99/L for petrol and diesel at its motorway service stations, during five busy departure weekends in July and August.
