Uniper and Respect Energy sign Power Purchase Agreement

London, (Oilandgaspress) – Uniper and Respect Energy sign six-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for electricity and Guarantees of Origin (GoO) generated from Uniper’s four new photovoltaic (PV) assets in Poland, with a combined capacity of 219 MWp. The agreement marks a significant step in both companies’ ambitions to support the transformation of the Polish energy system and to advance Europe’s transition toward renewable energies.

The contracted solar projects Pakość, Kłodawa, Domanowo, and Krotoszyce form part of Uniper’s broader renewables expansion, following the company’s investment decision in December 2025 to develop another five solar projects in Poland and the United Kingdom, amounting to around 288 MWp.

Through the new PPAs, Respect Energy will purchase renewable electricity from Uniper’s Polish solar sites, enabling the company to strengthen its position as a leading clean electricity trader in Central and Eastern Europe.

This cooperation underscores the growing importance of PPAs in enabling renewable energy deployment across Europe – providing investment certainty for asset developers while offering reliable green power to offtakers.
