Zelestra to start three Spanish solar projects

(Oilandgaspress) 06/08/26, – Zelestra announced full commercial operation of three solar plants in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, contracted to Tesla under a 57 MWac power purchase agreement (PPA).

Delivered by Zelestra’s in-house EPC team, the plants (Brazatortas I, II and IV) will supply approximately 130 GWh of renewable energy to Tesla annually.

Recently, Tesla signed a new 140 MWac PPA with Zelestra for the Lumen Farm solar project in Texas.

Jaime Burguete, CEO of Zelestra in Spain, said: “Reaching full operation at Brazatortas is an important milestone for Zelestra, ensuring Tesla has the energy that they need on time. These projects show our ability to deliver reliable, customer-focused renewable energy solutions, while continuing to grow our platform in Spain.”

In Spain, Zelestra has built a 6.8 GW pipeline of solar, BESS and wind projects – with 1.2 GW already contracted. It is one of four strategic growth markets for the company, alongside the US, Germany and Italy, where Zelestra partners with some of the world’s largest corporate energy buyers.
