JF Petroleum Group Acquires the Assets of Star Construction Inc. and SCI Petroleum Inc.
MORRISVILLE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The JF Petroleum Group (JF), a leading provider of fueling system solutions, including equipment distribution, maintenance & repair, and installation & construction services across North America, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Star Construction Inc. and SCI Petroleum Inc. The assets from these acquisitions have been relocated to their Charleston, South Carolina branch offering both Petroleum and General Contracting services. The former owner of Star Construction and SCI Petroleum, Brian Starer, has accepted the position of VP of Construction and will be leading the construction activities and crews out of their new Dykstra Construction branch in Charleston. Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a licensed General Contractor and former business owner and is excited about beginning the next phase of his career supporting their South Carolina customers. Brett Barnes is also joining the Dykstra team in Charleston, as the Director of Electrical Services. Brett is a licensed master electrician with decades of experience in the C-Store industry, as well as other commercial construction verticals.
JF is also pleased to announce two internal promotions. Mike O’Donnel is promoted to VP, General Contracting for Dykstra Construction and has recently relocated to Charleston, SC. And Corey Miller, is promoted to Senior Vice President of Construction Management Services and Operations. In his newly expanded role, Corey will assume full operational and financial responsibility for their general contracting business vertical, reporting to Darry Dykstra, President of General Contracting.
