NPCC Appoints New Board Members Dedicated to Bulk Power System’s Reliability and Security in Northeast US and Canada

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Northeast Power Coordinating Council, Inc. (NPCC) has appointed three new members to its board of directors.

Ronald DeCurzio serves as the CEO and Secretary of the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC). He is responsible for the management, staffing, administration and operation of MMWEC, as well as the overall relations among governing boards, employees, customers and the general public. Prior to becoming CEO in 2008, he served as MMWEC’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, and sits on the boards of the Massachusetts Municipal Light Department Wind Energy Cooperative, the Berkshire Wind Power Cooperative Corporation and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Cooperative. Prior to joining MMWEC in 1997, he served in various treasury positions such as debt restructuring, portfolio management, banking relations and cash management with the New York Power Authority. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University’s School of Business.

Nicole Fabbro serves as the Vice President of Central Engineering at Ontario Power Generation (OPG). She leads a team of 400 engineering professionals who deliver engineering solutions for all of OPG’s Generating Assets. Throughout her career, Nicole has gained progressive leadership experience in a variety of power generation and business leadership roles across thermal, hydroelectric and nuclear generating facilities. Her industry experience includes operations and maintenance, business planning and strategy, asset/project management, regulatory compliance, engineering and procurement. Ms. Fabbro serves as a Board Director for Burlington Hydro Inc. and holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Alvin Tang serves as the CEO of Nexus Energy, where he has led its growth and expansion into the retail and clean energy/renewables sectors. Prior to this role, he worked as a power trader at Ontario Power Generation, where he helped optimize its short-term physical and financial trading strategies. He also worked for several of the top Canadian banks (Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal and Toronto-Dominion Bank) in various risk management departments and functions, including enterprise, market and trading risk. Mr. Tang holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Statistics and a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Western Ontario.
