Water Engineering Announces Promotion of Katie Wagenfuhr to President
OMAHA, Neb.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Water Engineering, a leading provider of innovative water management solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Wagenfuhr as its new President. Katie will assume her new role and responsibilities effective immediately.

Katie graduated with a degree in Biology from University of Nebraska Lincoln and she joined Water Engineering in 2013 as the technical director. Prior to joining WEI, Katie was an account manager at Nalco where she spent 7 years. Katie’s extensive background in water resource management and her passion for sustainability make her an ideal leader for Water Engineering as the company continues to expand its efforts to provide environmentally responsible and cutting-edge solutions to clients. Her vision aligns with the company’s mission to address global water challenges through innovation and collaboration. Her work continues to positively impact communities and the environment, making her a respected and influential leader in the industry.
In her new role, Katie will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, with a focus on driving growth, enhancing client relationships, and fostering a culture of innovation and expertise. She will head the strategic direction and operational management of the WEI team where she plays a pivotal role in leading teams in 39 states, driving project success, and implementing advanced technologies to enhance water quality and efficiency.
