06 Jan Petrobras marks 20 years of the Santos Basin Unit
(Oilandgaspress) Petrobras celebrates , on January 5th , the 20th anniversary of the Santos Basin Unit (BS) , a historic milestone in oil and gas production in the Brazilian pre-salt layer. To celebrate this trajectory, the Petrobras Santos Basin Space will be inaugurated on January 24th , located in the restored building of the old Warehouse, a historical landmark in the Valongo neighborhood of Santos, attached to the Santos Building (Edisa) , the BS administrative headquarters.
The space will feature a permanent and interactive exhibition, allowing visitors to learn about the evolution of pre-salt exploration, from the creation of the Unit in 2006 to the technological advancements that have consolidated Petrobras as a world leader in deep and ultra-deep water oil exploration and production. The exhibition includes playful attractions on prospecting, engineering, innovation, and socio-environmental projects. The other half of the building will be dedicated to temporary exhibitions and events.
