Europe has been forced to ship gas from Australia after supplies from the US were crippled by a huge snowstorm.
Some vital American gas facilities have frozen up because of the Arctic blast, forcing traders to scour the globe for extra supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) – including imports from the other side of the world. Shell has reportedly chartered a tanker from the Gorgon LNG terminal in Australia laden with 170,000 cubic metres of LNG destined for Europe. Related News
