(Oilandgaspress) -] Vattenfall has signed an agreement with Alterna énergie to transfer its French electricity and gas sales business. The transaction includes the entire customer portfolio of more than 15,000 business customers, 3,000 large accounts and 175,000 residential contracts. All employees of Vattenfall’s French subsidiary will join Alterna énergie.

Vattenfall is working closely with Alterna énergie to ensure a seamless transition for all customer accounts. Services will continue without interruption throughout the whole integration process and all contractual conditions remain unchanged. The transaction will become fully effective in the coming weeks following approval by the French Competition and Markets Authority.

Alterna énergie is an established French electricity and gas supplier with around 20 years of experience. The company has built a strong presence in renewable energy, working with a large network of French renewable producers and serving approximately 150,000 customers across all segments.
