20 Feb Aramco Europe supports school visits
(Oilandgaspress) – Silverstone Museum has welcomed its first school groups of the year as it prepares to launch its STEM outreach program in collaboration with Aramco Europe. The students from Bishop Challoner Catholic College and Erasmus Darwin Academy attended a STEM motorsport workshop, participated in a simulator session and were able to handle real Formula 1 technology.
The workshop focused on STEM careers in motorsport, looking at jobs within the teams and in the broader supply chain.
The young people also got up close to specific Formula 1 cars and were able to ask questions and examine the technology in detail.
The visit was facilitated by STEM Learning, the UK’s largest provider of education and career support in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM Learning works in collaboration with the UK government, employers, and other stakeholders to deliver continuing professional development for teachers and positive interactions with young people throughout their education.
