Dongfeng Nissan Launches the All-New NX8 in China

Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN), the Chinese joint venture of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.; Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan; President and CEO: Ivan Espinosa), announced on April 8 the launch of the all-new NX8, a mid-size electrified SUV developed for the Chinese market. Sales commenced on the same day.

Following the N6 plug-in hybrid sedan and the N7 mid-size electric sedan, the NX8 marks the third model in Nissan’s N Series. Developed under the concept of “an ideal SUV for every family,” the NX8 offers a high level of comfort, advanced technology and safety performance, with 71 convenience, comfort and safety features equipped as standard across all grades, positioned in a price range from approximately 15.99 yuan to 20.99 yuan.

The key features of the all-new NX8 are as follows:

Two Powertrain Options: Battery Electric Vehicle and Range-Extended EV

To meet the diverse needs of the Chinese market, the NX8 is available with two powertrain options: a battery electric vehicle (EV) and a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV).

The EV lineup consists of three grades—580 Pro, 580 Max and 650 Max — offering a maximum driving range of up to 650 km*1. Equipped with an 800V architecture and ultra-fast 5C charging capability, the EV can recover approximately 300 km of driving range in just six minutes, significantly reducing range anxiety.

The REEV lineup includes three grades—150 Pro, 150 Max and 310 Max. The REEV delivers up to 310 km*1 of EV-only driving range and a total driving range of up to 1,450 km. Fuel consumption during gasoline operation is rated at 4.51 liters per 100 km (approximately 22.17 km per liter), providing both long-distance capability and high efficiency. Related News
