Enlil Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

Turbines using wind from passing traffic to generate power. The first vertical smart wind turbine designed to harvest both the energy from the natural wind, as well as that created by passing vehicles has been developed by Istanbul Technical University and tech firm Devecitech and placed on roadsides in Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul.

Enlil has an integrated SMART system which enables to add modules such as tools to measure CO2 levels, data collection through its IoT platform, traffic management systems, earthquake detection, connectivity for autonomous vehicles and a built-in Wi-Fi station.
