Gazprom and Eni to collaborate on Europe’s energy sector
The parties discussed the prospects of low-carbon development of Europe’s energy sector and stressed the important role of natural gas in ensuring its stable functioning. It was noted that Gazprom has increased the supplies of Russian gas to Italy by 15.9 per cent since early 2021 compared to the same period of 2020. Alexey Miller and Claudio Descalzi also reviewed current issues and lines of cooperation between the companies in the gas sector.
