Altus Power Announces the Addition of Two Solar Projects in Colorado

Clean electric power generated by systems to benefit local municipalities through Community Solar

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Altus Power (NYSE: AMPS), the largest commercial scale provider of clean electric power, today announced the addition of two operational solar projects in Colorado, totaling 2.5 megawatts. The clean electric power generated by the ground-mounted systems will benefit local municipalities, including the City of Pueblo, Pueblo Community College and the Pueblo County School District, through the Altus Power Community Solar program, part of the Black Hills Energy Colorado community solar program.

As the first state to introduce Community Solar, Colorado is a leader in harnessing its solar resources to reduce carbon emissions and deliver more affordable and sustainable energy solutions to its municipalities and residents. These new projects support Altus Power’s strategic mission to deliver clean energy solutions and economic benefits to the communities it serves.

The clean electric power generated by the new projects will benefit several local government, educational and corporate enterprises, including the City of Pueblo, Posada Pueblo emergency shelter, Pueblo Community College, Pueblo County School District 70 and Premier Members Credit Union, offsetting the equivalent of nearly 54,462 metric tons of carbon emissions over the life of the project. Altus Power’s portfolio across 25 states serves enterprises committed to achieving carbon reduction goals, anchored by the company’s distributed solar arrays.

As one of the pioneers of Community Solar, Altus Power currently serves more than 25,000 subscribers nationwide. Community Solar provides enterprises, homeowners and renters of diverse income brackets with the benefits of clean energy savings in the form of discounts on their utility bills without requiring customers to install or maintain their own solar panels.
