American Water Charitable Foundation Donated $3.5 Million in 2023 to Support and Strengthen Communities
CAMDEN, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today it awarded a combined total of $3.5 million to organizations across the U.S., supporting communities served by American Water in 2023.
Through the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Keep Communities Grant Program, $3 million was awarded to 236 non-profit organizations across the country. Additionally, nearly 3,500 employees participated in the Foundation’s Employee Matching Gift and Rewards Programs with over $500,000 donated to 1,900 charities.
