Anne-Catherine Brieux appointed VP Industrial Operations of Ampere

London, July 26, 2024, (Oilandgaspress) –– Ampere announced as of August 1st 2024, the appointment of Anne-Catherine Brieux, currently VP Quality Strategy, Suppliers & Development (Renault Group), as VP Industrial Operations. Anne-Catherine Brieux becomes a member of Ampere Leadership Team, reporting to Luca de Meo, CEO of Ampere.

Anne-Catherine Brieux will take over from Luciano Biondo who decided to leave the Group for new endeavors. She will be responsible for the four industrial sites of Ampere: Douai, Maubeuge, Ruitz, which form the ElectriCity hub, and the industrial site of Cléon; as well as the functions of Purchasing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supply Chain and IT of Ampere.

He has been a tremendous asset in the implementation of our Electricity hub and in enhancing the group’s presence in northern France. The transformation of our four sites towards electric is a key step to support the electric and ‘Made in France’ strategy. I wish him much success in his new projects. Her background in industry, quality, and supplier managementmakes her the right person to carry the industrial excellence of our company.” said Josep-Maria Recasens, COO of Ampere.

Anne-Catherine Brieux joined Renault in 1997 after graduating from INSA Rouen, as a manufacturing engineer at the Cléon plant. Two years later, she joined the engineering teams where she led key product standardization projects within the Renault-Nissan Alliance. In 2006, Anne-Catherine took responsibility for an Engine Design Office at the Mechanical plant, where she led and integrated the first decentralized engine design in the factory for the Duster project. After 12 years in engine design and development, Anne-Catherine joined the Manufacturing family in April 2011, where she initially took responsibility for an Engine Assembly department, then Machining at Cléon plant. After serving as deputy operations manager, she took over the management of the Renault Motores plant (Valladolid, Spain) in 2017, then the management of the Palencia plant. In 2023, she became Director of Quality Strategy, Suppliers, and Development within Renault Group’s Quality Department.
