Nissan revises financial outlook for fiscal year 2024 Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced a significant revision to its financial outlook for the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. Compared with the outlook issued at the time of Nissan’s third quarter results in February, the forecast full-year sales volume has been lowered to 3.35 million units. Full-year net revenue is now expected to reach 12.6 trillion yen, with operating profit of 85 billion yen. This is primarily due to changes in the competitive environment and deterioration in sales performance.
As part of the revised outlook, Nissan expects to report a net loss of 700-750 billion yen for fiscal year 2024. The revision is due to costs related to its ongoing turnaround plan, and other factors.

The management team has conducted a thorough review of production assets, leading to impairments exceeding 500 billion yen across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Japan. Additionally, restructuring costs are expected to exceed 60 billion yen as part of ongoing turnaround measures.
Despite the anticipated net loss, Nissan remains in a solid cash position, expecting to end fiscal year 2024 with net cash of 1.498 trillion yen. The company has 2.2 trillion yen in cash and cash equivalents, along with 1.2 trillion yen in loans to sales finance companies, totaling 3.4 trillion yen in available liquidity.
Nissan is disciplined in its approach to debt management and expects to end fiscal 2024 with 1.9 trillion yen in automotive debt, stable compared to the previous year.
The company has filed the following revised fiscal year forecast to the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Calculated under the equity accounting method for Nissan’s joint venture in China, the forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, are:. Read Related News
Neste and Eckerö Line in collaboration to reduce maritime emissions Neste and Finnish company Eckerö Line, which operates ferry services between Helsinki and Tallinn, are continuing their collaboration to reduce maritime emissions. Eckerö Line provides freight and passenger services on the Baltic Sea and is the first company in Finland to adopt Neste MY Renewable Diesel™ for commercial maritime transport. By replacing a part of the fuel it uses for its operations with Neste MY Renewable Diesel, Eckerö Line responds to the 2% emissions reduction requirement of the FuelEU Maritime regulation, which came into effect at the beginning of 2025, and encourages the use of lower-emission fuels in maritime transport.
Neste MY Renewable Diesel, made from 100% waste and residue raw materials for the Finnish market, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 90%* over the fuel’s lifecycle compared to using fossil diesel.

‘’Neste MY Renewable Diesel meets our needs well. We can use it as is in our existing fleet of ships operating in the Gulf of Finland to reduce our vessels’ greenhouse gas emissions, thereby meeting the requirements of the FuelEU Maritime regulation, which came into effect at the beginning of the year,’ says Taru Keronen, CEO, Eckerö Line.
Neste MY Renewable Diesel has a similar chemical composition to fossil diesel, and therefore it can be used in all diesel-powered vessels without additional investments or modifications to existing equipment or fuel distribution infrastructure.
‘’The need to mitigate climate change is more urgent than ever. It’s great that, as a partner and with Neste’s renewable fuel, we can also support the maritime sector’s transition towards lower-emission transport. Eckerö Line is setting a great example in this regard,’’ says Joni Pihlström, VP, Marketing & Services, Neste. . Read Related News

Renault site will debut the Jetprint Paint system for two-tone paintwork. For the production of Renault 4 E-Tech electric, the Maubeuge production site (Ampere ElectriCity) is inaugurating the Jetprint Paint process, a new technology for two-tone paint application. The process relies on a dedicated booth that is fully integrated with the production line. Working to the highest standards of quality, two robots complete the two-tone paintwork of the roof and bonnet in just six minutes. Previously, a two-tone finish required hours of preliminary preparations as part of a process that involved sending the car back to the paint shop for a second time.
In the new Jetprint Paint booth at the Ampere site in Maubeuge, the roof and bonnet of Renault 4 E-Tech electric receive a two-tone paint finish, with a perfect line between the two colours. This premium finish is a great source of great pride for Katell, Head of the Paint Department. She played a key role in the on-site deployment of this innovative paint technology. Read Related News
Hybridisation has been making Ferrari road cars more powerful and efficient Ferrari uses a device called TMA – transition manager actuator – to optimise the flow of energy between electric and internal combustion, with proprietary software ensuring it’s smooth and instant. It feels naturally aspirated and sounds wonderful, no mean feat given the various challenges. It’s also oddly exhilarating to drive in silent e-mode.

Down-sizing is one of the industry buzzwords right now, though perhaps it should be ‘right-sizing’. Ferrari’s double Le Mans-winning 499 P uses a 3.0-litre, 680 cv twin-turbo V6, with an electric motor on the front axle to provide an additional 272 cv and all-wheel drive above 190 km/h (as per the WEC rules). That tech has strongly influenced the new F80 hypercar, which uses a similar powertrain. It can accelerate to 100km/h in just 2.1 seconds, 200km/h in 5.7 seconds, and has a top speed limited to 350km/h. That phenomenal responsiveness again. The total system output is 1200 cv, 900 of which is produced by the combustion engine, 300 by the hybrid system. There are twin turbos, with an e-motor fitted between the turbine and compressor to help them spool up faster. Ferrari has come a long way since the 599 Hy-Kers, as evidenced by the F80’s lightweight electric motors, designed and manufactured in-house such is the engineering intelligence now in play. There are two on the front axle and one on the rear, for torque vectoring and all-wheel drive. The front inverter is bi-directional, so that alternating current produced by the e-axle under regenerative braking is turned into direct current to charge the battery. The inverter on the rear F1-inspired MGU-K e-motor – which weighs 88kg and spins to 30,000rpm – is used to start the combustion engine, recover energy to the battery, and provide torque-fill under load. The high voltage battery is also strongly F1-influenced: 204 lithium cells are grouped in three modules in a carbon fibre case that sits low in the chassis to optimise the centre of gravity.
