Aurora Solar Appoints Patrick Donahue as Chief Product Officer and Promotes Carina Brockl to Chief Revenue Officer
Senior leadership growth announced as company exceeds 20M project milestone
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aurora Solar, the leading platform for solar sales and design, announces the appointment of Patrick Donahue as Chief Product Officer and the promotion of Carina Brockl to Chief Revenue Officer. With a strong background in technological innovation, underscored by his time as Vice President of Product at Cloudflare, Donahue will lead Aurora Solar’s product strategy and development. He will work with cross-functional teams to define and execute Aurora Solar’s product vision to deliver a better solar experience for all. Brockl, who has been with Aurora Solar for three years, will expand on her existing leadership role within the organization to continue to lead sales, marketing, global partnerships, and international market growth as Chief Revenue Officer.
“Aurora Solar was created to support the world’s transition to solar at scale,” said Christopher Hopper, Co-Founder and CEO at Aurora Solar. “With experts like Patrick and Carina at the helm of our executive leadership team, we are well positioned to embrace this fundamental market shift to drive sustainable industry growth.”
These additions to the executive team come on the heels of the company’s recent inclusion on TIME Magazine’s Top GreenTech Companies 2024 list and the launch of its second annual Solar Industry Snapshot. This report investigates early 2024 U.S. residential solar trends and how they will affect the industry.
“The next phase of solar’s growth will be unlike anything we’ve seen before,” Donahue remarked. “I’m excited to join the industry’s leading solar sales and design software company, where I’ll be able to contribute to pioneering new innovations that will further expedite the adoption of solar.”
Aurora Solar recently achieved another milestone. Its platform, trusted by more than 7,000 solar installers around the world, has been used to generate 20 million solar project designs. More than 100,000 projects per week are now designed using Aurora Solar’s software.
“Doubling from 10 million to 20 million projects designed in less than two years speaks to the impact the Aurora and HelioScope solutions have made on the solar industry,” added Brockl. “Last year we expanded into Germany, and we continue to be excited by the prospect of exploring new markets.”
