Avangrid Eclipses 9GW of Installed Capacity at Wind and Solar Sites Powering Over 2 Million Homes

Ongoing construction this summer at multiple Avangrid renewable energy facilities helped the Company eclipse 9GW of installed capacity

9 GW of onshore wind and solar capacity at more than 75 sites can produce enough energy to power more than 2.3 million U.S. homes

ORANGE, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a leading sustainable energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, has eclipsed 9 Gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity at its onshore wind and solar sites this summer.

It has over 8 GW of installed wind capacity and about 1 GW of installed solar capacity, including projects that are currently under construction. Construction progress at multiple Avangrid projects this summer helped the Company reach this 9 GW milestone.
