C-Kore Systems receive 2nd Queen’s Award for Enterprise

C-Kore Systems Limited from Escrick, York is celebrating as they were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the second time in 3 years. Following their award for Innovation in 2019, they have now been recognised for their contribution to International Trade.


The formal Queen’s Award presentation was an ideal opportunity for the C-Kore team to take a moment and reflect on their achievements so far.

On the day, the C-Kore team were delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Mrs. Johanna Ropner and one of her deputies, Mr. David Kerfoot CBE DL, to their offices near York. Although scaled back, reflecting the current risk of covid, the guests were able to have a tour and demonstration of C-Kore’s equipment prior to the formal presentation of the Queen’s Award, with the sales team joining remotely from around the world.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant, David Kerfoot, read the citation on behalf of HM Queen Elizabeth II, which proclaimed that “recognising the outstanding achievement demonstrated in the application of International Trade, C-Kore Systems have been given permission to fly the authorised (Queen’s) Award flag and to display the Award emblem for a period of 5 years”, followed by the presentation of The Queen’s Award to C-Kore System’s Managing Director, Tim Overfield, by the Lord Lieutenant herself.
