DarrowEverett Acquires Rampart Law Group to Further Strengthen Work in Renewables
PROVIDENCE, R.I.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As part of its continued strategic growth plan, DarrowEverett LLP has acquired Massachusetts-based Rampart Law Group LLC — a move that further strengthens DarrowEverett’s commitment to serving businesses in the renewable energy industry and adds further value to the firm’s offerings in private wealth services and tax matters.

Rampart’s work spanned multiple aspects of renewable energy deals, from permitting, development, corporate and transactional work, to government relations, state and local taxation (SALT), regulatory law, real estate transactions, and environmental advice.
Rampart routinely handled tax equity investment financing of projects at or before permission to operate and has vast experience in dealing with public and private offtaker matters. This acquisition follows a former RLG partner’s elevation to Commissioner of the Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board.
Additionally, DarrowEverett’s acquisition enhances what it can do for clients in private wealth services and tax matters. Rampart routinely dealt with matters involving personal wealth planning and asset protection trusts, and on the tax side, the firm handled tax efficient business succession planning and estate planning.
