Dodge ends production of HEMI Charger and Challenger models
Dodge bids farewell to the HEMI Charger and Challenger models with a Project in line with the values that always set it apart. The American Brand will end production on the two iconic models in the current version by the end of the 2023 and, in their last months of existence, has launched the “Last Call” tribute which includes Special Series vehicles from both lines. Marking the end of an era in the context of a path to electrification, the edition was announced in August 2022 and went to market in November 2022 in the USA. Dodge is now expanding this release to Europe as well within the Region Brand evolution plan. The Project celebrates the Last Call through the revival of iconic models from the Brand’s history which are available in 14 color options on the Charger and Challenger. At the same time, Dodge also expands the popular Jailbreak pack in order to make it available on the 717hp Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat models too.
Dodge Charger and Challenger “Last Call” and Special Editions – Heritage Colors & Commemorative Plaques
The new series is made up of seven versions for 2023 model year, strongly connected with Dodge’s heritage: for the occasion, the new vehicles take inspiration from the Brand’s iconic muscle cars, evoking their most significant details. Six models were introduced in August 2022 during the Dodge Speed Week event at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan: the Dodge Challenger Shakedown, Charger Super Bee, Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, Charger King Daytona and Challenger Black Ghost. Meanwhile, the seventh model was unveiled in the past few days: it’s the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, an exclusive model that will be produced in just over 3,000 units. Dodge now extends the marketing to Europe for five of these seven special editions: exceptions are the Charger King Daytona and the Challenger SRT Demon 170.
All of the Dodge Charger and Challenger 2023 models include a special commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque which makes each model a true collector’s item and includes the vehicle name and its silhouette, as well as “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton” to certify each vehicle’s origin. The two ranges include 14 exterior color options each, including three of the Brand’s signature heritage colors—B5 Blue, Plum Crazy purple and Sublime green – as well as the popular and modern Destroyer Grey. The vehicles have also been embellished by distinctive graphic details on the body.
