Encino Environmental Acquires Lemos Labs

to Strengthen Northeastern Operations, Generate Efficiencies and Expand into New Markets

  • Lemos Labs is a leading provider of source emissions testing services in the northeastern U.S. and the company’s facility in Butler, Pennsylvania will serve as Encino’s Northeast District operations center
  • Acquisition expands Encino’s services into industrial stack testing, providing diversification outside of the company’s core Oil and Gas market, and creating opportunities to introduce Lemos Labs’ offerings throughout Encino’s existing operating regions throughout the United States
  • The expanded operational footprint will enhance Encino’s ability to support both existing and future clients, as well as introduce new offerings to the region

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Encino Environmental Services (“Encino”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Lemos Labs, a leading provider of source emissions testing services based in Butler, Pennsylvania. Founded in February 2013, Lemos Labs has solidified its presence in the northeastern US primarily through stack testing and engine testing services.

Benefits of the transaction include:

  • Local support for northeastern operations and customers: With the addition of Lemos Labs’ established team, facility, and assets, Encino will be better positioned to support its northeastern operations.
  • Expanded service offerings and markets: This acquisition allows Encino to expand into industrial stack testing, providing a broader service offering and reaching out to new markets beyond the core Oil and Gas sector.
  • Increased efficiencies: Encino expects to realize cost savings by being able to support current work in the region from its new local facility and bring new capabilities to both existing and potential customers in the region.
  • Extend stack testing to new markets outside the northeast: Opportunity to extend Lemos Labs’ stack testing expertise across Encino’s market footprint outside the Northeast.

Alex Keffalas, currently General Manager with Lemos Labs, will continue managing daily operations as Operations Director – Northern Region to provide continuity of management and service levels. “I am excited to join Encino, expand the opportunities available to our team and leverage the Encino footprint to grow our current service lines,” said Mr. Keffalas.

“This acquisition advances our strategic plan to serve our customers wherever their operations are located,” said Scott McCurdy, CEO of Encino Environmental. “As our customers grow in size, scope and geography, they increasingly need a partner who can provide comprehensive environmental services across their entire operational footprint. Encino’s existing environmental performance offerings, including engine testing, LDAR, AI-enabled infrared OGI cameras, methane detection satellites and composite thief hatch offerings are a natural complement to Lemos Labs’ emissions testing services. Lemos Labs is a well-respected company with a great reputation in the northeastern U.S. and we are excited about the potential of this acquisition to help provide more localized and higher levels of service and capabilities to our current and future customers. I want to extend a warm welcome to Alex Keffalas and the rest of the Lemos Labs organization, we are thrilled they are now part of the Encino family.”
